[INTRODUCTION]
The inspiration for this collection comes from the historical landmarks, sites, and statues of ancient Athens, Greece, including The Parthenon, The Panathenaic Stadium and ancient art found in the New Acropolis Museum.
Athens was once the center of a powerful empire, original home of The Olympics movement, and cultural leader in art and architecture of that era. This body of art, architecture and design is timeless, has beautiful lines, colors, and expresses both masculine and feminine energies.
These elements ignited the flame for this beautiful, new bath collection by Chris Mestdagh.
[COLOR PALETTE]
The color palette of this collection is inspired by the beautiful patinas found on the ancient architecture and impressive, public sculptures found in Greece. Made from marble and stone, these buildings and sculptures are now weathered by centuries of exposure to Nature’s elements - the intense sun, howling winds, pounding rains, and the salty air from the Aegean Sea - leaving them with a beautiful, faded appearance.
[HERODES]
Greece’s public gathering spots for cultural events like the theater, concerts, dance and opera were the inspiration for this design. The curved lines of ancient seating, carved from marble and stone, are reflected here in this beautiful bath linen.
