Supima combed yarn is made from 100% high-grade cotton yarn made from pima cotton, a long-fiber cotton produced in the southwestern United States.
During the spinning process, a combing process is added to remove short fibers, which makes the yarn tighter, shinier, and stronger.The result is a yarn that is thin, supple, and strong.
Supima cotton is produced from smaller-than-usual cotton plants and in smaller quantities. Only a few percent of the cotton produced in the U.S. is Supima cotton.
